NANS Southwest Calls for Independent Investigation Into Death of UNIOSUN Student

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, has called for an independent investigation into the death of Miss Osunlakin Grace, a final-year student of Osun State University's College of Law.

The student organization made the call amid reports alleging challenges in accessing emergency medical attention before the student's death.

In a statement, NANS Southwest urged university authorities to conduct a transparent probe into the incident and publicly disclose the outcome of any investigation.

The association stated that concerns relating to healthcare personnel availability, emergency response systems, and medical infrastructure require urgent review.

It also announced plans to undertake consultations with stakeholders as part of a fact-finding effort aimed at establishing the circumstances surrounding the case.

According to NANS, the incident highlights broader conversations about healthcare preparedness and student welfare within tertiary institutions.
